Zipatso Academy
Campus for Secondary Education, Salima

After having built ten schools for primary education in – mostly – rural areas in Malawi, the Swiss association «Education Projects Martin Schaer» decided to plan, build, and operate a school for Secondary Education. In April 2008, the project was launched with a groundbreaking ceremony. In September 2011, the school was offically opened. Its mission is to provide high-quality education in all subjects forming part of the Malawian School Certificate of Education (MSCE). Zipatso Academy will also offer an extended syllabus in art, music, and sports. Students are educated in a culturally diverse environment and the educational programme aims to help them become self-responsible, well-informed, and independently thinking members of society.
