He was born on 14th October 1980 at Kabulika Village, T/A Kachinda Moto in Dedza District. He did his secondary school education at Mtakataka. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Education (Sciences) obtained at Chancellor College in Zomba, the University of Malawi. He specializes in Biology and Physical Science. He is married to Sylvia Kapuma and the couple has one son, Pemphero.

Priscilla
Kazinkambani

She is from Salima district, T/A Nkhombedza, Sombe Village. She was born on 26th April, 1999 and is the sixth born in a family of seven children.

Priscilla went to Lilongwe Demonstration Primary School and Bakhita Girls Secondary School. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences (Geology) from Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) obtained in 2023.

She has worked at Kabwabwa Secondary School Part Time as a Physics and Mathematics teacher; Jamo Private Secondary School as a Physics and Mathematics teacher; Unique Private Secondary School as a Physics and Mathematics teacher; Geology intern at Ministry of Mining, Junior Geologist at Gold Ventures Company; and currently teaches what she knows best: Geography (Form 1 to 4) and Social and Development Studies in Form 1.

Nathan Gilbert
Thalipezi Phiri

He is originally from Kasungu district, T/A Chilowamatambe, Mtsiro Village. He was born on 15th December, 1994 and is the first born.

He attended primary school at Zyalambe Primary School and secondary school at Mthunthama All Saints Community Day Secondary School (CDSS). He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Science Specializing in Statistics from Chancellor College, obtained in 2022.

He has worked as a teacher at Brighter Brains Private Secondary School from 2022 to 2023 before becoming an intern for Planning and Development — SMEDI — from June 2023 to January 2024. As well, he breifly worked as a Teller at the United Civil Servants SACCO from January to March, 2024.

At Zipatso Academy he now teaches Biology in Forms 1, 3, and 4; Chem in Form 2; and Mathematics in Form 3.

Austin
Phiri

He is from Mzimba district, T/A Mbwerwa, Tegha Village. He was born on 28th July, 1995. He is the second born in a family of four.

His primary school was done at Lisandwa Primary School, whereas he attended Robert Blake Secondary School for his secondary education. Austin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Seed Systems obtained from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR).

He has taught at Mvama Christian Academy, Bambino International School, Bakhita Girls Secondary School, and Mkomachi Secondary School.

He currently teaches Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at Zipatso Academy.

Martin Master

Comes from Salima district, Traditional Authority (T/A) Ndindi, Mponda Village. A fourth born in a family of eight children, he was born on 4th February, 1992. 

He did his primary education at Chikadwe Primary School from Standard 1 to 6, and at Lifidzi Primary School from Standard 7 to 8. His secondary education was done at Chipoka Secondary School, all schools are in Salima. He possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA), obtained in the year 2015. Also, he has a diploma in Religious Studies from the Inter-Congregational Institute of Education (ICI), a Catholic institute of Religious Studies and Human Sciences, situated in Balaka, Malawi.

From 2022 to the present, he has been working at Zipatso Academy, teaching English Literature in Form 4, Social Studies in Form 4, Life Skills in Form 2, and Chichewa Language in Form 1.

Before joining Zipatso Academy, he was at Chisapi Girls’ Secondary School, teaching English Literature in Forms 3 and 4, Chichewa (Language and Literature) in Forms 1 to 4, and Life Skills in Form 1 from 2021 to 2022. He has also worked with Maranatha Boys Academy, teaching English (Language and Literature) in Forms 1 and 2; and English Language in Forms 3 and 4, from 2018 to 2021.

Brighton
Tchale

He is originally from Ntcheu district, T/A Makwangwala, Austin Village. He was born on 20th March, 1998 and is the second born.

He went to Chimweta Primary School and Zipatso Academy for primary and secondary education respectively. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Business Studies) obtained from the Malawi Polytechnic.

He currently teaches Computer Studies in Forms 1-4 and Mathematics in Forms 1 and 2.

Albert Ulemu
Bwanthi

He comes from Kangwere Village, T/A Mlonyeni in Mchinji district. He was born on 26th October, 1969 and is the third born in a family of four.

He did his primary school at Likuni Boys FP School and proceeded to Likuni Boys Secondary School for his secondary education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Arts and a University Certificate of Education (UCE) from Chancellor College in 1993 and 2000 respectively.

He has thirty years of teaching English, French, Geography, Life Skills and Social Studies in various unisex government and private schools.

Andrew Pained Paul Maliro

Andrew is originally from Senior Group Village Headman Ngadziwe, Traditional Authority Kanduku in Mwanza district. He was born on 14th November, 1992 and is the seventh born in a family of nine.

For primary education, Andrew went to Mwembedzi Local Education Authority Primary School from Standard 1 to Standard 7 and Futsa Full Primary School for Standard 8. He then proceeded to Mphande Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) for secondary education. He currently holds a Bachelor’s degree of Arts (Education) obtained from Mzuzu University in 2019, where he majored in English and minored in African Languages and Linguistics. He also holds a Primary School Teaching Certificate (T2) obtained from Blantyre Teachers’ Training College in 2014.

Before joining Zipatso Academy as a Languages teacher in 2019 to the present, Andrew taught at Namwanje FP School, Namasimba 2 LEA Full Primary School, Dalitso Private Primary School and Umodzi Private Primary School. He teaches English and Chichewa in all four Forms with ease.

Andrew writes on his spare time. His book, “Love In Medias Res” and a short story collection “Massacre of the Beula Lineage and other short stories” are in the pipeline to their publication. His philosophy is ‘Using complexity as simplicity, no way as way, and no limitation as limitation.’

Willy
Malata

Born on 18th December 1980 in Thyolo District, Mr Malata is a passionate Science and Mathematics teacher. His passion is as a result of the experience drawn from teaching in some of the most prestigious secondary schools in Malawi. He is a holder of Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management which he obtained from Lilongwe University of Science and Technology.

Sunganani Christina
Manyengo

Last born daughter in a family of six and single, she has three brothers and two sisters. Miss Manyengo was born on 12th August 1987 at Monkey Bay District Hospital, before moving to the capital city, Lilongwe. She did her primary education at Chilambula LEA School before proceeding to Mayani Secondary School in 2001 where she did her secondary education. In 2008, she was selected to Chancellor College, a constituent college of the University of Malawi, to pursue a Bachelor degree in Arts Humanities majoring in Theology and Religious Studies and a minor in Drama and she successfully completed in 2012.

Miss Manyengo is a humble and honest person and during her free time she likes chatting, making new friends and traveling.
